@manton OK, I did some digging. I first saw this mentioned in the release notes for ClassicPress 2.3.0. However, the petition to remove XMLRPC was actually shelved. Sorry for raising false alarms.

@MarcoZehe @manton ugh, don‘t know what happened to the link there. Sorry about that!
@manton Are there plans to change that to the REST API? Both WordPress and the fork https://www.classicpress.net/, which I am using for a project, plan to remove XMLRPC support soon, even encourage people to disable it now for security reasons.
@gregmorris Thanks, that's the feeling I also got. I would even turn it off when adding an RSS feed from one other blog I have, and only turn it back on when the recent posts have synchronized.
@merlinmann welcome!
@gregmorris saw it in the main timeline.
@mroutley 👋🏼
@drose As many others have recommended, I rely on Ulysses for all my valuable content. It can post to MicroBlog, WordPress (including forks like ClassicPress) and Ghost. I also used MarsEdit in the past and still keep it current, and can only speak highly of it as well.
@gregmorris That is good to hear! Since you're already using SwiftUI components, you'll get most stuff for free. There are probably only some minor tweaks to make. WWDC has some good videos on SwiftUI VoiceOver accessibility.
@canion Oh no! Hope you'll feel better soon! Keeping my fingers crossed that it isn't CoVid. But regardless, take care!
@oliverandrich After reading your post and reply on Mastodon, decided to reactivate my account. Didn't even know I still had it from my last experimenting.
@gregmorris This sounds intriguing! So far, there is not a really good option to consume micro'blog on iOS for VoiceOver users. Apps that worked have been abandoned, and the official app unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired. So every new idea is exciting!
